I feel like when we pull out our shots or meters in front of the world, we are spreading awareness about diabetes & people SHOULD know that we have to do this and that a cure is needed. I totally understand your method of ordering soda too, they have screwed up and given me regular Coke too many times! Also, I didn't want to scare anyone or feel like I couldn't take care of myself. Now I have no problem speaking up about it or doing things right in the open if I need to.
